Understanding Attachment Styles (Personal Development School-Inspired) — Meetup Presentation on Sat, Feb. 28, 2026 at 3:00 PM (EST)
If you’ve ever wondered why you pull away when things get close, feel anxious when someone seems distant, or keep repeating the same relationship patterns—this presentation is for you.
On Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 3:00 PM Eastern, I’m hosting a Meetup-style talk focused on attachment styles, using concepts commonly taught by Personal Development School (PDS) to help you understand your patterns and start creating more secure, healthy connections.
What we’ll cover
What attachment styles are (and how they form)
The core needs and fears behind each style
How attachment shows up in dating, friendships, and long-term relationships
Common triggers and “protest behaviors”
Practical steps to move toward secure attachment (without self-blame)
A quick overview of the main attachment styles
Secure attachment: You can be close and independent. You communicate needs directly and recover from conflict more easily.
Anxious (preoccupied) attachment: You may fear abandonment, overthink signals, seek reassurance, or feel unsettled by inconsistency.
Avoidant (dismissive) attachment: You may value independence strongly, feel overwhelmed by emotional intensity, or shut down when closeness increases.
Fearful-avoidant (disorganized) attachment: You may crave closeness but fear it at the same time—leading to push-pull dynamics, mixed signals, or intense triggers.
Who this is for
Want to understand your relationship patterns with more clarity
Feel stuck in anxious/avoidant cycles
Want tools for communication, boundaries, and emotional regulation
Are actively working toward more secure relationships
